Pursuit of a Lifetime

As soon as I could read, I wanted to write; then I found out I wasn't the only person who ever felt that way. I use a quote in my signature line which says:

"Loving to read made me wish to write." (Eudora Welty).

One thing that's quite disturbing these days is the fact that working for a living and trying to accomplish my own goals in writing are preventing me from getting as much reading done as I'd like. Just a few days ago, I came up with at least a minor/temporary solution, and ordered an audiobook. Ellen Meister's "Secret Confessions of the Applewood PTA." I can't wait to listen; Lisa Kudrow reads it. I'll get to audio-read while driving to Atlanta to catch a plane for my NY trip in a couple of weeks. Yippee!

btw, you can check out Ellen's blog:
here

I was looking at it and just a moment, and now I'm dying to figure out how to upload pictures and make this blog look visually appealing!

Ah well, can't build in a day. And luckily, this blog isn't Rome.

Thanks, Shell! I hope you like the audio book!

As far as posting pictures, Blogger makes it pretty easy. Just click on the toolbar icon that looks like a picture, and you'll see options to download from your harddrive or the internet.

Have a good trip to Atlanta!

Thanks Ellen! I'm looking forward to the drive AND the New York. Are you going to be having any readings or signings coming up? I'll go check your website too.

I'd LOVE to get my audiobook signed! hehe!
