If anyone's ever read my story "Conquering Paradise" (in Opium print #1), you probably guessed that I love the bands Disturbed and Nine Inch Nails.

Look here at what NIN is up to.






I have been on a "strike" from MTV (and later, VH1) almost since inception and the reason is simple.

When I listen to music, I like moving through my own introspect. The band has given me the music, the feeling, and I like moving through my own visions. Frankly I also hate the sexism in many of the commercial videos too, but that's another complaint. To me, it's similar to watching a movie before reading a book. I know most people LOVED "The Shining," for example, but I didn't. My visuals were considerably different than that presented, so much that I couldn't enjoy the film. BUT I had the chance to see someone else's interpretation and it still didn't violate mine.

I don't know if that make sense at all, but I think this is a cool experiment and I look forward to seeing the various interpretations.
